So I bought myself a birthday nowadays: the entire first season (26 shows) of the Jonny Quest cartoons! I contemplation it was Johnny, but no, it is Jonny. I've watched two episodes so far: Indefiniteness of the Lizard Men, and Arctic Splashdown. The Curse-word of Anubis, Pursuit of the Po-Ho, Riddle of the Gold, Joy of the Temple, and Calcutta Adventure charge out the first disc.
The first episode gives a very superficial introduction to the characters and a bit of background. There's Dr. Benton Quest, who ostensibly is so incredibly amazing as a scientist, some sway agency (not sure who) has assigned "one of our guys", Descent Bannon, to protect Dr. Quest's son Jonny from would be kidnappers. Hadji does not become visible in the first episode, but he shows up unheralded in the go along with. Bandit, the dog figures almost too prominently, barking almost to the idea of making me cringe.
It is funny to circumspect it as an adult after all these years. It hardly makes any substance, but you can see why it would be fun for a kid to watch, because they aren't going to be analyzing much. For occurrence, the first episode makes it clear that the Quests are usefulness the protection of a full time body mind, yet, when called in to help figure out why five ships have disappeared in the Sargasso Sea, they settle to sail a boat right into the mid of the Sea, and cheerfully bring the kid and dog along - by themselves! The Sargasso is full of old embark wrecks and Jonny spots one that is hundreds of years old and wants to go climb around on one, and Flume says, "I don't see any harm in it" - convinced, lets get the famous doctor's kid out walking around rotting move wrecks, what the hay! Another hard-to-believe notice: a character I had forgotten about - EUNICE, which is an acronym for something. Its a computer that Dr. Quest talks into conversationally and Eunice spits out an riposte. Quite silly when you see it!
