 "Judiciary and Quasi-Perspicacious Agencies

 The judiciary influences ENR operation through its power of judicial review. Examination courts have jurisdiction over criminal cases for offenses defined under ENR laws. Meanwhile, in dirtying and mining cases the DENR's Dirtying Adjudication Board and Mines Adjudication Advisers aboard have exclusive original jurisdiction, and courts only have appellate power. Early in 2008, the Supreme Court designated 84 branches of first-level off courts and 31 branches of alternate-level courts as special Environmental Courts, with range to try and decide violations of environmental laws. This was done based on an inventory and assessment of in the offing environmental cases whose objective is to recover efficiency in the administration of justice, and to present greater access to environmental right, by having these courts in places where environmental violations were shown to be most habitual and by providing judges with specialized skills and erudition relevant to the cases prevalent in their territory."
