Marvel Secret Invasion - Skrully Thoughts part 10
OK, I’m back with more Skrully thoughts after about a two week absence. It wasn’t that I didn’t have ideas about the Private Invasion, but the limited new material sorta hand me little to work with. But with a couple new comics this sometime week and more back issue reading, I’m rapid to get back to work.
First off was the Who Do You Trust one-shot. There were in reality a decent number of good stories in this consequence, but surprisingly little information.
The particular stories of interest here were the Captain Marvel and Astonished at Boy stories.
Captain Marvel’s white, which takes place shortly after the end of the Captain Astonished at mini-series and right into SI #1, deliver assign to like a suicide note to me. He writes a character to S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Heather Sante powerful her he’s not going to try to stop the Recondite Invasion, but rather during the chaos of the SI he’s going to take out “Lethal…claiming to be justice”. In other words, the Thunderbolts. This assertion has a few lead up details to SI #1, but exceptionally it’s the story of why we saw Mar-Vell blare into Thunderbolts mountain in SI#1. Mar-Vell does give us a scant insight into how long Marvel might be planning on this Invasion eternal prior to the heroes fully “resisting” though. (peradventure an hour, maybe a year) And Captain Gape at is going to “fix” some offensive in the meantime. But given the short dialog between Mar-Vell and Norman Osborn in SI #3, I’m betting the fork-tongued Osborn is succeeding to talk the good Captain out of destroying the Thunderbolts. But we’ll have to deferred a bit longer for that story to be told.
Then there was the Miracle Boy story that took place clandestine the Cube just prior to Mysterious Invasion #1. No-Var had set up a new omniwave projector and it looked like he was reconstituting the Greatest Intelligence. (any connection back to the original Kree-Skrull War seems like a coolth aspect of these stories to me) This is how he was controlling the Cube late to Skrull sabotage of all superhuman prisons on Earth and the put in SI #1 where it looks like No-Var is successful to take leave of his new Kree Capital and start kicking some Skrull intrude. Again, we’ll have to wait to read this geste but I am still betting that Captain Marvel ends up convincing No-Var to take up the agent of Earth and become the new Captain Marvel. Joey Q said last week in his cup-o’-joe that there would be a Captain Gape at “among the Avengers at the conclusion of the Unpublishable Invasion”. But who will it be?
